A Central Vacuum is a much more powerful and efficient system to that a conventional vacuum cleaner. It is typically located outside of the living area, thus preventing the recirculation of dust, which a conventional vacuum cleaner exhausts straight back into the very room you are cleaning!
Did you know? That 90% of normal household dust is dead human skin! And that dust mites
feed off human skin!
Did you know? That dust mites
are so microscopic you could fit around 400 of them on a single human hair. Now it’s not the dust mites
themselves that are harmful, it is their faeces!
As so when using a conventional vacuum, all these particles along with other forms of dirt, pollen and dust, pass freely through the vacuums filtration system and through the machines motor expelling them back into the room they have just been removed from. Also this has the same effect with bad odors form soiled areas, animal smells etc.
Central Vacuums can be installed in almost any property New or Old / Large or Small….
From the unit a 52mm (2 inch) pipe is routed through the property to inlet sockets located strategically throughout the building to allow as much coverage as possible from each inlet, which reduces cleaning. There is no heavy or cumbersome machine to lug around just a lightweight flexible hose which follows you effortlessly around as you clean. Simply plug the hose into an inlet and off you go, vacuuming has never been so quick and easy!
Quicker… Cleaner… Healthier...

Imagine, vacuuming your home without disturbing the family
, sweeping the breakfast crumbs from the floor straight into an automatic dustpan
, being able to clean every surface in your home effortlessly yet thoroughly, even those difficult to reach places like the conservatory roof, ceilings and door frames. Now, imagine sitting back and relaxing in the knowledge that when you’ve finished your well deserved cuppa you won’t be seeing any dust settling back on your furniture, nor will there be any unpleasant odours just clean fresh air. Job done!
You have just imagined what your life will be like with a Central Vacuum system, find out all the benefits of a central vacuum system on our Benefits page.

We can provide a system to suit any application from a house boat to a large Office Building!
For apartments we have small units which will fit within the kitchen units or small cupboards.
For Houses the ideal location for the Power Unit
is the garage if it is integral with the house. Otherwise in the utility room or under the stairs, or even the attic. Ideally it wants to be on an outside wall so that the exhaust air can be directed outside but this could be under the floor as well if there was an air void there.
For hotels / factories / office developments, please see our commercial vacuums page.
You do not need an Inlet Valve
in every room. With a 9m hose and one or two valves downstairs, a large area can be covered. But the number of valves depends upon the size and layout of the property. Given a plan of the property we can very quickly provide you with a layout and a price for the materials.

Installing a central vacuum system is a relatively straight forward job well within the scope of most competent DIY enthusiasts. Planning the installation, particularly into renovations and existing properties is where skill, experience and ingenuity are key. The location of the Power Unit
and the desired location of the inlets need to be established first, whilst bearing in mind that suitable duct runs will have to be found to join them up.
Installing into new builds this is (with one or two exceptions) relatively straight forward, renovations and existing properties generally need more consideration, resourcefulness and initiative.
For more detailed explanations and instructions please see our installation manual.
